伦敦大学皇家霍洛威学院的历史学专业怎么样？

伦敦大学皇家霍洛威学院（Royal Holloway, University of London)于1879年在维多利亚女王的支持下由托马斯・霍洛威（Thomas Holloway）筹资创立，女王本人于1886年授予其皇家特许状并亲自主持了开校典礼。1986年伊丽莎白二世女王又于该校100周年校庆之际主持了其与贝德福德学院（1849年成立）的合并典礼。皇家霍洛威学院于1900年加入伦敦大学，为伦敦大学最大的九个核心组成学院之一，也是伦敦大学选定专门进行科学教学与研究的五所学院之一，兼1994大学集团的成员。伦敦大学（University of London）于1836年由伦敦大学学院和伦敦国王学院合并而成，其建立初衷是为改变牛津剑桥垄断英格兰学术界的局面，完全照搬了剑桥大学的建校模式，至今已发展成为由18个独立自治的学院和10个研究机构联合组成的联邦制大学，其性质类似美国的加州大学，旗下各个学院都是独立的大学，独立招生，独立排名。
