Personal Statement: Your statement of purpose (maximum 500 words) should include your qualifications for professional study in the field and your likely specializations or interests, if you know them. Recommendation Letter: Letters of recommendation from three people familiar with the applicant’s academic background and intellectual abilities; applicants provide their names and email addresses. Referees will be contacted automatically via e-mail with requests to provide recommendations. Writing sample: Your academic writing sample (maximum 5000 words) should demonstrate your ability in film studies, folklore, literature and the environment, medieval studies, poetry and poetics or in rhetoric and composition.
