博弈论是现代经济学的语言，它的理论分析涉及到战略行为中所有的社会和经济互动，不仅限于社会科学，在计算机科学，生物学和其他学术学科中也占有重要地位。本项目将向学生介绍主要的博弈论概念，和博弈论在现实生活中的各类应用，包括公司应如何定价、设计广告活动然后进入新市场，如何在足球比赛中合理犯规，如何进行谈判，拍卖中使用的出价策略以及如何玩扑克。 最重要的是，后续学生可以通过战略角度来考虑日常生活中的许多情况。

Game Theory is the language of modern Economics. Any social and economic interactions which involve strategic behaviour are analysed using game theoretical toolbox. However, Game Theory is not restricted to social sciences, but also occupies and important place in computer science, biology and other academic disciplines. This course gives you an introduction to main game-theoretic concepts, but also covers various real life applications, ranging from how firms should set prices, design advertising campaigns and enter new markets, how to shoot penalties in football games, how to negotiate, which bidding strategies to use in auctions and how to play poker. Most importantly, it teaches you to think strategically about many instances of your everyday life.
