　　AP选课新航标 TA是不是你的菜?

　　究竟什么是Studio Art?

　　Studio Art Program包括三个项目：drawing， 2-D design，和3-D design。既然考的是art，那就不需要做题了，而要求考生在期末交一个作品集。作品集反应的美术技能，艺术感知表现能力和主题内容形式等都将被包括在考核范围之内。

　　就drawing这项，考核分三方面。第一方面，质量Quality(任选5个作品)。第二方面，深度Concentration(12张带数码作品，着重视觉内容表现主题)。第三方面，广度Breadth(不同表现形式，带有极强的个人色彩)。

　　以下是去年考生的部分示范作品(来源于college board)。作品先由2位大学老师评分，如果分值相差太大将重新被复议。

　　学生作品论述(部分摘要)：

　　How does the work in your concentrationdemonstrate the exploration of your idea? You may refer to specific images asexamples. When referencing specific images, please indicate the image numbers.

　　The pieces in my concentration reflectthe central idea in that they depict the relationship between houses/buildingsand people. In the first (图1)and second pieces,the people and houses abstractly combine, conveying unity and emotional attachmentto the home. The third piece (图2)depicts a handholding up a house like a holy item which symbolizes the importance of housesto human beings. The fourth image symbolizes the choices people have whenchoosing a house to live in. The sixth drawing (图3)represents ourmemories imprinted in our childhood home. The ninth drawing (图4)depicts a personinfatuated in the thoughts of his home. The eleventh drawing (图5)conveys the idea thathouses confine people and disables people from going out. My art explores theidea that houses and people have multiple relationships.

　　• In thisconcentration, the student has created a beautiful series of works thatexpressively and humorously portray human connection to houses. The concept andthe work are unmistakably and coherently integrated throughout.

　　• The work exhibits a strong senseof confidence and risk taking. In images 9 (图4), 10, 11 (图5), and 12 thehuman connection to houses is inextricably combined in the physical andimaginative space demonstrating the culmination of an original vision.

　　• Illustrative skill is most evidentin images 9 (图4)and 12. In image 9(图4) the use of lineconveys texture and provides emphasis and contrast. In image 12, the extensionof the arm moves convincingly through space. Scale is evident as the housestransition in size.

　　• Overall this work is at an excellentlevel.

　　就像国内的美术高考机制一直被吐槽那样，AP Studio Art的不合理方面也在被老外吐槽。亚特兰大的威斯敏斯特学院的Lauren老师认为，莫奈参加这门考试成绩并非理想!原因是莫奈的作品缺乏广度(Breadth section)，总是画着主题相近的内容!但是莫奈在Concentrationsection会取得高分，他的作品有着超强的关联性，值得细细品味，虽然他的作品在多年后才被世人接受!毕加索就完全不一样了，他的创作范围太广，传统画像，现代艺术，抽象样样擅长，整个作品集会被考试高度认可!

　　评判结果大相径庭，也正是AP Studio Art的魅力所在，每个考生都有拿高分的可能性，理性的技能不再是考试的重点，只要你表现出足够与众不同的艺术创造能力。

　　据统计，如今的考生比10年前翻了一倍，但只有13%的考生进入大学选修艺术。考生们或许为了进入名校锦上添花，或许纯粹出于兴趣爱好。喜欢美术的你，为何不心动一试呢?
